Controversy Surrounding Justice Clarence Thomas and Harlan Crow's Relationship
GOP megadonor Harlan Crow bought Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' childhood home in 2014 and allowed Thomas' mother to live there rent-free, saving her an estimated $155,000 in rent. This comes after a ProPublica report revealed Thomas' undisclosed finances and his relationship with Crow, including luxury vacations and gifts. Crow defended the transactions and said he wants to build a museum centered on Thomas' boyhood home. Thomas has faced calls for resignation or impeachment, but legal experts say there are limited options for dealing with corruption on the Supreme Court.
