This unprecedented late January warm surge also set records in other cities in Minnesota and Wisconsin. While not the warmest January day on record statewide, it was the warmest January 31 on record for Minnesota. The warm trend is expected to continue, with a dense fog advisory in effect and temperatures remaining about 20 degrees warmer than normal for the rest of the week.
