"Highlights from the IHSAA Boys Track and Field State Finals"
Brownsburg boys track and field team won their first state championship in program history, using their depth to score points in 10 of 16 events to hold off Carmel and last year's defending champion Plainfield. Junior Dominic Calhoun won the 200 meters, took second in the 100, and was the anchor to Brownsburg's blazing 4x100-meter relay champion, which set a state record with a 40.70 time. The meet was full of record-breaking performances and some surprises, including Bloomington North setting a state finals meet record in the 4x800 relay and Plainfield's Nayyir Newash-Campbell setting a state record in the 400 meters.
