Zootropolis 2 Reigns as Hollywood's Top Animated Box-Office Hit
Zootropolis 2 has become Hollywood's highest-grossing animated film with about $1.7 billion worldwide, surpassing Inside Out 2 and ranking as the ninth highest-grossing film ever; however, the global all-time animated leader remains China's Ne Zha 2 at roughly $2.2 billion. Released in November with a $150 million budget, the sequel follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they chase a new reptilian resident, and Disney notes it became the fastest animated Hollywood film to reach $1 billion at the global box office.
