Sony is reportedly developing a PS5 Pro, with first dev kit prototypes expected to be sent to first-party PlayStation developers in the next few months and third-party developers by the end of the year. The company is also rumored to be releasing an updated PS5 with a detachable disc drive later this year, as well as a new gaming handheld codenamed Q Lite that will use Remote Play with the PS5 and is currently in the quality assurance phase.

It won't support other cloud services such as PC's GeForce NOW, Game Pass Ultimate, Boosteroid, and the like. The device is expected to be released in November alongside a slew of additional Sony hardware, including the previously rumored PlayStation 5 console with a detachable disc drive, new earbuds, and new headsets. The Q-Lite is expected to retail for around $200 and will be seen as an accessory to the PlayStation 5 rather than a proper handheld.

Sony is developing a new handheld gaming console codenamed Q Lite, which will use Remote Play with the Playstation 5 and feature adaptive streaming up to 1080p and 60FPS. The device will have an 8-inch LCD touchscreen, adaptive triggers, volume buttons, speakers, and an audio input jack. Sony is also planning to release a detachable disc drive PlayStation 5, wireless earphones, and a wireless headset in the near future. The PS5 Pro is projected to release in holiday 2024.
