T-Mobile has added two new privacy toggles that are enabled by default, allowing the carrier access to more user data, including financial information and fraud protection details. Customers can opt out of these settings via the Privacy Center or the T-Life app, but must do so for each line individually.
ChromeOS is adding privacy toggles to enable/disable access to a Chromebook’s camera and microphone. The controls are found in the Settings app under Security and Privacy > Privacy controls. Camera and microphone access are rolling out to Chromebooks in the stable channel “later this year,” but you can find it in beta already. Additionally, Google made other Chromebook security announcements that are catered toward enterprise environments, including ChromeOS Data Controls and new integrations.
