One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a car crash in Monroeville, Indiana. The crash occurred when a car driven by two teenage boys hit a utility pole and rolled. The passenger was airlifted to a local hospital, while powerlines were knocked down as a result of the accident.
Scattered thunderstorms caused flash flooding on some Twin Cities roads and downed trees and powerlines in areas from Howard Lake to New Germany. While Minneapolis didn't receive much rain, some cities recorded up to 3 inches of rain in a short period of time. The flash flooding temporarily closed some roadways, but the water receded later on Saturday.
Severe weather including a tornado caused damage in parts of Oklahoma on Thursday night. Sky 5 surveyed the damage, which included one residence and four commercial buildings. Powerlines were also reported to be damaged. No injuries or rescues were reported.
Fire crews are on high alert as multiple grass fires burn in and around Oklahoma City due to dry and windy conditions. Strong winds are believed to have caused powerlines to fall and spark fires.
