It will be released on Apple Books and the Steve Jobs Archive website and was designed by LoveFrom, the firm founded by Jony Ive, Apple's former chief design officer.

Bungie, the developer of Destiny 2, announced that Lance Reddick, the voice actor for Commander Zavala in the game, will continue to portray the role posthumously until the storylines to which he contributed voice acting have been concluded. Reddick passed away on March 17, and Destiny 2 players have been paying tribute to his character in-game. Reddick also has several other posthumous roles and acting work yet to be released.
