Tupac Shakur Honored with Posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame Star.
Tupac Shakur was posthumously awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, more than 25 years after he was fatally shot in Las Vegas. The ceremony took place a week before what would have been his 50th birthday, and was attended by friends, family members, and fans. His sister, Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur, accepted the honor on his behalf and received a Los Angeles City Council resolution declaring June 7 as Tupac Shakur Day. Shakur's life and legacy have been examined in various books, films, and documentaries, including the recent Hulu series "Dear Mama."
