The National Weather Service confirmed that at least five tornadoes touched down in Ohio during the latest round of severe weather, including an EF-1 tornado in Portage County that generated winds of 110 mph, causing extensive damage. No injuries were reported, but there was significant property damage and power outages. This adds to the 38 tornadoes confirmed in Ohio in 2024, which leads the nation, with the worst being an EF-3 twister on March 14 in Logan County that resulted in three fatalities and more than 20 injuries.
