
Heroic Carmel Town Manager Dies Saving Son from Frozen Pond
The town manager of Carmel, Maine, Kevin Howell, tragically died after saving his 4-year-old son from a frozen pond when both fell through the ice. After getting his son to safety, Howell's wife attempted to rescue him but also fell through the ice. Despite efforts from emergency responders, Howell's body was found by divers later that day. Howell was responsible for overseeing town departments and leaves behind a grieving community and family.
