Airport measles exposure triggers public health alert in Phoenix
Maricopa County public health officials say a measles patient traveled through Sky Harbor's Terminal 4 on Jan. 29, adding to three confirmed county cases and prompting notification of travelers. Anyone who was at Terminal 4 on Jan. 29 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. should monitor for symptoms through Feb. 19, 2026. Additional exposure sites include the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa and several Gilbert locations. Measles symptoms include fever, cough, red eyes, runny nose and a blotchy rash; vaccination with the MMR vaccine is the best protection (two doses for children, at least one for adults).
