"Angels Part Ways with Manager Phil Nevin After Playoff Miss"
The Los Angeles Angels have fired manager Phil Nevin by declining his contract option for the 2024 season. Nevin, who took over as manager in June 2022, had a record of 119-149 and failed to lead the team to the playoffs. Despite being well-liked by players, the Angels finished with their eighth consecutive losing record this season. General manager Perry Minasian will remain with the team, which has now had four managers in the past six years.
