"Adobe's AI-Powered PDF Assistant Revolutionizes Document Navigation"
Adobe has launched an AI assistant in its Reader and Acrobat applications that can generate summaries of and answer questions about PDFs and other documents. The AI assistant, currently in beta, aims to help users digest information from lengthy PDFs by providing brief overviews and answering questions through a conversational interface. It can also generate citations and produce text for various formats. Adobe's CEO, Shantanu Narayen, sees this as a step towards "democratizing access" to the trillions of PDFs in use, and the company is also working on video models to apply to its tools and workflows.
