Teen missing for 6 years resurfaces in France after escaping mother's plan to move to Finland
A 17-year-old British boy who was declared missing six years ago after being taken by his mother has been found safe in France. Alex Batty ran away from his mother when she wanted to move them to Finland, as he wanted to return to his life in the UK. Alex and his mother had been constantly moving and living with a group of "spiritual" people in various locations. His whereabouts are still unknown, while his grandfather, who was with them, is believed to have died six months ago. Alex is expected to be reunited with his family in the UK soon.
