SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will launch on January 28, 2025, for PC via Steam, priced at $19.99 with a 20% pre-order discount. An open beta is available until December 17, 2024. The game will feature special editions, including a 30th Anniversary Edition with exclusive content. Additionally, a global tournament, the Virtua Fighter Open Championship, is planned for spring 2025. The version 2.0 update for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown on PS4 is also now available.
The director of Monster Hunter Wilds, Yuya Tokuda, confirmed that the frequent movement of monsters in the game's open beta was due to a bug, not a design choice. This issue, which caused frustration among players, has been fixed for the final release. The game, set to launch on February 28, will also feature improved performance and refined monster behavior compared to the beta version.
Street Fighter 6's open beta test will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC from May 19 to May 21. The beta will include eight characters and the same content as the second closed beta. Players can pre-download the open beta client, and PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold are not required. Online ranking progress, high scores, and custom avatars will not carry over into the full game. Street Fighter 6 is set to release on June 2 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
