"Ford Recalls 130,000 Focus and EcoSport Vehicles for Oil Pump Issues"
Ford is recalling over 130,000 vehicles, including certain Ford Focus and Ford EcoSport models, due to an issue with the oil pump drive belt or drive belt tensioner that could lead to a loss of engine oil pressure, potentially causing an engine stall and loss of power-breaking assist, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealerships will replace the oil pump tensioner assembly and oil pump drive belt free of charge, with owner notification letters expected to be mailed on Feb. 13.
