Ukrainian forces have recaptured gas and oil drilling platforms off the coast of Crimea in the Black Sea, reclaiming a strategic surveillance site from Russian forces. Videos of the raid on the platforms, known as Boyko Towers, circulated online, and Ukrainian soldiers battled against a Russian fighter jet during the operation. The platforms had been under Russian control since 2015, following the illegal annexation of Crimea. Russian sources dispute Ukraine's claims, calling it a PR campaign, but Ukraine sees the recapture as a significant step in its struggle for control over the Black Sea.
Ukrainian commandos have successfully raided and seized control of two Russian-controlled oil platforms in the western Black Sea, known as the Boyko Towers.
