Measles Exposure Alert: CVG Airport and Dayton Children's Connection
The Ohio Health Department has announced a potential measles exposure at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) on specific dates in January, linked to a Montgomery County child who is the state's first measles case. Over 230 patients and their families at Dayton Children’s were exposed, and health officials are working to identify potentially exposed passengers on specific flights. Measles symptoms can appear 7 to 14 days after exposure, and the virus is highly contagious, but vaccination is effective in preventing the illness.
