October Heatwave: Record-Breaking Temperatures Continue
The Twin Cities experienced record-breaking heat on Sunday, with temperatures reaching 91 degrees, the highest ever recorded for October. Most of Minnesota will continue to see summery warmth on Monday, with highs in the 80s and even lower 90s in some areas. However, a cold front is expected to bring cooler temperatures by midweek. Despite the warm weather, fall colors are starting to appear in parts of Minnesota, particularly in the northern half of the state. September also set a new record for the warmest September in Twin Cities weather records.
