Stranded Luxury Cruise Ship Freed off Greenland's Coast
A luxury cruise ship, the Ocean Explorer, carrying 206 people has been successfully pulled free after being stranded off the coast of Greenland for several days. The vessel, operated by Aurora Expeditions, ran aground near Alpefjord in the Northeast Greenland National Park. Previous attempts to free the ship were unsuccessful, but it was finally pulled free at high tide. The reason for the grounding remains unclear, and there were no reports of damage to the ship.
