"Columbus Day vs Indigenous Peoples' Day: What's Open and Closed in 2023?"

Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day both fall on Monday, October 9th. While Columbus Day is still a federal holiday, some states have renamed or replaced it with Indigenous Peoples' Day. Federal and state offices will be closed, as well as the post office. Most banks will also be closed, but the stock market will remain open. Some schools and libraries may be closed, while trash pickup will continue as scheduled.
