
Venezuelan Migrants Arrested for Shoplifting Spree at Chicago Macy's
Two Venezuelan migrants, Edys Alberto Herrera-Gotopo and Johan Gavidia-Rojas, were arrested for allegedly stealing merchandise worth $665 from a Macy's store in Oak Brook, Illinois. The men worked together, with one acting as a lookout while the other stuffed clothing into a bag. After leaving the store without paying, they were intercepted by police. Both men were charged with retail theft, a felony, but were released on the condition that they are prohibited from entering the Macy's in Oak Brook. This incident is part of an ongoing series of retail thefts involving Venezuelan migrants in the area.
