State Trooper Shot and Driver Dead in NY Traffic Stop
A state trooper was shot during a traffic stop in Duanesburg, Schenectady County, NY, after the driver opened fire and fled on foot. The driver, identified as Nelson Troche, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was declared dead. The trooper, Richard Albert, was taken to the hospital and has been discharged. A passenger was taken into custody.
