A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Broadway Extension in Oklahoma City. Witnesses reported that the driver was traveling at very high and erratic speeds. The highway was closed for nearly four hours but has since reopened.
A state trooper was shot during a traffic stop in Duanesburg, Schenectady County, NY, after the driver opened fire and fled on foot. The driver, identified as Nelson Troche, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was declared dead. The trooper, Richard Albert, was taken to the hospital and has been discharged. A passenger was taken into custody.
