Salt Bae's London Restaurant Cuts Heating to Boost Profits
Salt Bae's Nusr-Et Steakhouse in London, which recorded a profit of over $4 million in 2022, has been cutting costs by reducing heating during peak hours despite the owners receiving dividends of £2.8 million. The restaurant, known for its high-ticket items, has also removed several expensive dishes from its menu, including a $1,825 gold leaf steak, while still offering pricey options such as a wagyu striploin for £680. This cost-cutting comes amid recent controversies, including an investigation revealing that ex-employees had their tips taken and the closure of Gökçe's Manhattan burger joint.
