California and 14 other governors have launched the Governors Public Health Alliance, a non-partisan effort to coordinate public health policies based on science, improve emergency preparedness, and respond effectively to health threats, aiming to counter political interference and misinformation.
The White House has announced the appointment of the 2023-2024 class of White House Fellows, a program that offers young leaders the opportunity to work at the highest levels of the Federal government. The Fellows, selected through a competitive process, come from diverse backgrounds and professions, including the private sector, academia, non-profits, and the armed forces. They will spend a year working with senior White House Staff, Cabinet Secretaries, and other top-ranking officials, gaining valuable experience and skills to become better leaders in their communities. Applications for the 2024-2025 Fellowship year will open on November 1, 2023.
