Berlin-Paris Night Train Returns After 9-Year Break
After a nine-year hiatus, a new sleeper service between Berlin and Paris is set to launch, operated by SNCF and Deutsche Bahn with rolling stock provided by OeBB. The frequency of the service will increase to a daily train from October 2024. Night trains have gained popularity as a cleaner alternative to air travel, and the French government has invested €100 million to revive the network. Despite challenges, including reliance on subsidies, private companies are also entering the market.
