Police Investigate Shootings in Lincoln's North Bottoms and Omaha
Lincoln Police have arrested Brent Lopez, a former employee of the Air Park Rec Center, in connection with a shooting that injured a Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services caseworker. The incident occurred during a child welfare check, when Lopez fired multiple rounds from his front porch, hitting one caseworker in the leg. The victim's injuries are not life-threatening. Lopez has been charged with assault on an officer and use of a firearm to commit a felony. The investigation is ongoing.
