Micron invests $600M in China plant despite geopolitical tensions.

Despite being banned from critical infrastructure projects in China, U.S. chipmaker Micron has announced plans to invest over $600 million in a packing and testing factory in Xi'an. The investment will be used to acquire equipment and add a new factory at the facility over the next few years. Last month, China's cybersecurity watchdog said Micron had failed a national security review, telling operators of "critical information infrastructure" to stop buying its products.
