Netflix's Final DVD Surprise: 10 Mystery Discs for Subscribers
Netflix is sending its DVD-by-mail subscribers up to 10 mystery discs as a farewell gift before ending its rental service after 25 years. Customers have until August 29 to opt in, and the final DVDs will be shipped out on September 29. Although the service is closing, customers will still need to return the discs by October 29. Netflix's DVD service generated about $145 million in revenues compared to $31.5 billion from streaming in 2022.
