Controversy over LGBTQ support in French football.
Nantes has fined striker Mostafa Mohamed for refusing to play in a match against Toulouse where teams wore rainbow-colored numbers on their jerseys in support of the LGBTQIA+ community. The fine, which was not disclosed, will be donated to a French charity group called SOS HOMOPHOBIA. Toulouse forward Zakaria Aboukhlal was also left out of the game for refusing to wear the jersey.
