"Judge Denies Conditional Release for 'Slender Man' Stabbing Perpetrator"
A judge in Wisconsin denied Morgan Geyser's request for conditional release nearly a decade after she and a classmate stabbed their friend 19 times in an attempt to impress the fictional character Slender Man. Geyser, who has been held at a mental health institute since 2018, was deemed to pose a significant risk of harm to herself or others and will remain institutionalized. She may file another petition for release in six months.
