Monaco's Mohamed Camara Suspended for Covering LGBTQ+ Badge
Monaco midfielder Mohamed Camara has been suspended for four matches by the French football league (LFP) for covering up an anti-homophobia message on his shirt during a Ligue 1 match. Camara used white tape to hide the symbol and did not participate in a pre-match photo supporting the international day against homophobia. The LFP imposed the suspension after hearing Camara's refusal to engage in awareness actions, and French sports minister Amelie Oudea-Castera called for strong sanctions. Monaco's management expressed regret over the incident, citing Camara's religious reasons.
