USAF and DIU Select Four Firms for Modular Drone Prototypes
The Defense Department has selected Anduril Industries, Integrated Solutions for Systems Inc., Leidos Dynetics, and Zone 5 Technologies to develop prototypes for a modular drone under the Enterprise Test Vehicle project. These drones will be used to test payloads and sensors, aiming for high production rates at low costs. The first flight demonstrations are expected in late summer or fall, after which at least one prototype will be further developed for scalable production. The project emphasizes using commercial off-the-shelf components and modern manufacturing techniques to keep costs down and ensure rapid production.
