Minnetonka Schools Alert Parents to Whooping Cough Outbreak
Minnetonka schools have reported cases of whooping cough, also known as pertussis, among students at several schools, including Minnetonka High School and Minnetonka Middle School West. Despite being fully immunized, some students have contracted the illness, which can be serious. The Minnesota Department of Health advises staying home and completing antibiotic treatment to prevent spreading the infection and recommends ensuring vaccinations are up to date.
