The gun store owner stated that they had no way of knowing the part would end up in the prohibited person's possession, and the purchaser is now under investigation for felony straw purchase.

Fatal Exchange: St. Paul Officer Shoots and Kills 24-Year-Old Brandon Keys

Brandon Keys, a 24-year-old man from Maplewood, died after being shot by a St. Paul police officer during an exchange of gunfire. Identity of Deceased Man Found in St. Cloud Park Revealed by BCA

Pope County Shooting: Suspect and Injured Officers Identified by BCA

Person of interest in custody after human remains found in tote near Mille Lacs Lake.

Highway maintenance workers found what are believed to be human remains inside a tote along the shoreline of Mille Lacs Lake. A 21-year-old man believed to be a person of interest in the case was arrested on four unrelated outstanding warrants, and investigators have reason to believe he knew the victim. "Multiple crime scenes" have been processed in connection to the investigation, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting. Charges could be filed by the end of the week.

Search underway for missing 8-year-old boy in Cass County

The Leech Lake Tribal Police Department is seeking public assistance in locating an 8-year-old boy, Alfred Desjarlait III, who went missing from his home near Prescott, Minnesota on Thursday evening. Alfred was last seen wearing a black Timberland jacket, jeans, and multi-colored Puma shoes. He is described as 4-foot, 80 pounds, and his direction of travel is unknown. Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
