"Rare Sighting: Mountain Lion Roams Howard's Wilderness"
The Miner County Sheriff's Office in Howard, South Dakota, has issued a warning after a mountain lion was spotted on the east side of the Golf Course. Authorities have reported the sighting to South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks for investigation and are advising people not to attempt to find or track the animal themselves. The National Parks Service advises individuals to avoid approaching or running from a mountain lion, to appear as big as possible, and to fight back if attacked.
