Ryan Kelley, Former GOP Gubernatorial Candidate, Pleads Guilty to Jan. 6 Crime
Former Michigan Republican gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of entering and remaining on restricted grounds in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Kelley admitted to climbing the scaffolding, gesturing to the crowd, and supporting another rioter. He ran for governor in Michigan in 2022 but lost in the primary. Sentencing is scheduled for October 17th.
