
Brewers address left-handed pitching problem with signing of Darin Ruf.
The Milwaukee Brewers have signed veteran first baseman/designated hitter Darin Ruf to address their struggles against left-handed pitching. Ruf has a career batting average of .271 with 39 homers and an .886 OPS against lefties. The Brewers also recalled right-handed reliever Trevor Megill and former second-round pick Micah Bello retired after six seasons in the organization.
