
Tornado Confirmed as Cause of Fatal Belvidere Theater Collapse.
A man died and over 40 people were injured after the roof of the Apollo Theatre in Belvidere, Illinois collapsed during a sold-out metal concert on Friday evening. An EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 100 MPH and a max width of 900 yards was confirmed to have formed in the area. The man who died has been identified as Frederick Forest Livingston, Jr. More than 260 people were inside the theater when the collapse happened.
