Tragedy at Belvidere's Apollo Theatre: Roof Collapse Kills One, Injures 28.

One person died and 28 others were injured after the roof of the Apollo Theatre in Belvidere, Illinois collapsed during a sold-out metal concert. Severe storms with winds in excess of 50 mph were reported in the area at the time, and it's possible a tornado may have touched down. The theater's marquee and facade crashed onto State Street, littering the area with bricks and debris. First responders were on the scene within two minutes, and a second, more thorough search is being conducted to stabilize the building.
