Researchers have identified metabolic programs in tissue-resident T cells that enhance tumor immunity. The study utilized bulk RNA-seq and single-cell RNA-seq data to analyze the gene expression profiles of T cells residing in different tissues. The findings suggest that tissue-resident memory T cells possess unique metabolic adaptations that contribute to their long-term survival and enhanced immune function.
