"Brave 7-Year-Old Loses Lifelong Battle with Disease"
Mikah Furrow, a 7-year-old boy from Vinton, Virginia, who battled Congenital CMV since birth, a disease that can cause birth defects and long-term health issues, has passed away. Despite the challenges of cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and developmental delays, his family focused on making each day of his life the best. They are now advocating for CMV screening for pregnant women to help prevent the disease's impact on others. A memorial service and funeral are being planned to honor Mikah's legacy.
