"Ice Therapy Proven Effective in Eliminating Breast Cancer Tumors"
A new study from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center suggests that cryoablation, a minimally invasive technique using ice therapy, could be an effective alternative for breast cancer patients who are not candidates for surgery. The research showed that cryoablation was successful in freezing and destroying small, cancerous tumors in patients who were not eligible for surgery due to age, medical conditions, or other treatments. When combined with hormonal therapy and radiation, nearly 100% of tumors were destroyed. While surgery remains the gold standard for breast cancer treatment, cryoablation offers a promising option for patients who cannot undergo surgery.
