Shortages of Ozempic and Albuterol Continue to Plague Houston
Houston is still facing shortages of more than 100 drugs, including Ozempic and albuterol, due to increased demand, supply chain disruptions, and other factors since the COVID-19 pandemic. The FDA is looking at available regulatory options to help end the shortages, but it cannot require a pharmaceutical company to make a drug, make more of a drug, or change the distribution of a drug. Patients are advised to discuss alternative medications with their healthcare providers.
