Matt Fitzpatrick slams slow play in golf as "truly appalling".

Matthew Fitzpatrick, the winner of RBC Heritage, has criticized the PGA Tour's pace of play, calling it "truly appalling." This comes after Brooks Koepka indirectly called out Patrick Cantlay for slow play at the Masters. Cantlay was also put on the clock during the RBC Heritage. Fitzpatrick believes that despite the ongoing conversation about slow play, nothing will be done to address the issue.

Fitzpatrick triumphs over Spieth in RBC Heritage playoff.

Matthew Fitzpatrick won the RBC Heritage on Sunday afternoon on the third playoff hole against Jordan Spieth, thanks to an incredible approach shot on the 18th at Harbour Town Golf Links. Fitzpatrick stuck his approach to just a foot from the hole, which left him with a tap-in birdie to pick up his second-career win on the PGA Tour. Spieth narrowly missed chances to win on the first and second playoff holes. Fitzpatrick will head home with a $3.6 million prize and jumped to No. 8 in the Official World Golf Rankings, a career-high.
