California is introducing a variety of new laws in 2024, including protections for doctors mailing abortion pills to states where it's illegal, an increase in paid sick leave, and the inability for companies to fire employees for marijuana use outside of work. The state will also see a minimum wage increase for fast food and health care workers later in the year, and a tax increase for higher wage earners.
