US Postal Service Implements Stamp Price Hike on July 9
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is raising the price of a "forever" stamp for first-class mail from 63 to 66 cents as part of increased mailing prices approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission. The price adjustments are necessary to provide the USPS with much-needed revenue to achieve financial stability amid rising operating expenses and the effects of a defective pricing model. The cost of sending metered letters and postcards will also increase, while the USPS has raised stamp prices by 32% since 2019 to boost revenue as mail volume continues to decline.
