The Buffalo Sabres acquired defensemen Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn from the Winnipeg Jets for forward Isak Rosen, defenseman Jacob Bryson, a 2027 second-round pick and a conditional 2026 fourth-round pick. Stanley, in the final season of a two-year contract, has 21 points (9 goals) in 59 games; Schenn, also in the final year of his deal, has seven points in 46 games and led Winnipeg with 139 hits. The Sabres sit atop the Atlantic Division and are pushing for a playoff berth, while the Jets linger in the Central standings with hopes of a wild-card spot.
The Nashville Predators have signed defenseman Luke Schenn to a three-year, $8.25 million contract. Schenn, a two-time Stanley Cup champion, spent last season with the Toronto Maple Leafs and recorded one goal, 60 hits, and an average ice time of 13:18 in 15 appearances. Prior to that, he played for the Vancouver Canucks, where he had 21 points and a +9 rating in 55 games. Schenn has played in 933 NHL games and has recorded 191 points and 764 penalty minutes. He has also represented Canada internationally and has a younger brother, Brayden, who has played in the NHL as well.
