WhatsApp to Introduce Animated Emoji for More Lively Chats
WhatsApp is reportedly testing animated emoji for its desktop and mobile apps using the Lottie library. The feature is expected to make group chats more enjoyable, and when an animated version of a specific emoji is available, WhatsApp will share that one instead of the static image. It remains unclear whether users will be able to switch off animated emoji when the feature is rolled out more broadly.
